Blazer Jobs is seeking an experienced Social Worker for a full-time contract position in a school-based setting in Sacramento, CA. We are looking for qualified professionals who meet all local and state regulatory requirements. Experience working with special education students and their families is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify the social, emotional, and behavioral needs of students.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions addressing various issues such as anxiety, trauma, and family dynamics.
- Facilitate crisis intervention and provide support in conflict resolution within the school environment.
- Advocate for students and families by connecting them with appropriate community resources and services.
- Maintain detailed and confidential records of services provided, ensuring compliance with school and district policies.
- Participate in school meetings, contributing to a positive and supportive school culture.
- Organize and conduct workshops for staff and parents on mental health awareness and social-emotional learning.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
- Valid California social work license.
- Prior experience in a school setting, particularly with special education students, is highly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse populations and stakeholders.
