Blazerworks is excited to partner with a school district in Fairview, OR, to hire a dedicated and passionate School Occupational Therapist (OT) for the 2024-2025 school year. Position Details
- Location: Fairview, OR
- Duration: 2024-2025 school year
- Employment Type: Full-time
- Schedule: Standard school hours, Monday through Friday
- Caseload: Working with students from elementary through high school levels (specific details will be provided based on placement)
Job Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy services to students based on their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), focusing on sensory processing, fine motor skills, self-regulation, and adaptive techniques.
- Assess students' needs and develop individualized treatment plans that support their learning, development, and independence in the classroom.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational staff to ensure consistent delivery of services and help students achieve their academic goals.
- Conduct regular evaluations, document progress, and modify treatment plans as necessary to meet student goals.
- Assist in the development of functional goals within IEPs, participating in IEP meetings and contributing professional expertise.
- Provide training and resources for staff and parents on how to support students with special needs in the school environment.

Requirements
- Education: Masters degree in Occupational Therapy
- Licensure: Active OT license in Oregon
- Experience: Previous experience in a school setting is preferred but not required. New graduates are welcome to apply.
- Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work collaboratively in a team setting, and a passion for working with students with diverse needs.
