Blazer Jobs is actively seeking an experienced and passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a full-time position with school districts in the Denton, TX area. This role is a meaningful opportunity to support students in achieving communication and academic success through dedicated therapy services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each students needs.
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students, individually or in groups.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other school professionals to ensure the success of therapy interventions.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed.
- Educate and guide staff and families on strategies to support students' communication skills.
- Stay up to date with best practices and research in the field of speech-language pathology.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Active Texas SLP license (required).
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) (preferred).
- Texas Education Agency (TEA) certification for school-based practice (required).
- Experience in school or pediatric settings (preferred).
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
