Job Description: School-Based SLPA (Speech-Language Pathology Assistant)
Position Details:
- Start Date: December/Early January
- End Date: End of School Year in June
- Location: California
- Schedule: Full-Time, 32.5 hours/week
- Pay Rate: Starting at $35/hour
Caseload/Job Overview:
- Student Caseload: 55-60 students
- Schools/Age Range: Elementary, Middle, and High School
- Disabilities Served:
- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- Specific Language Impairment (SLI)
- Intellectual Disability (ID)
Qualifications and Preferences:
- Licensed SLPA (Speech-Language Pathology Assistant) in the state of California
- Bilingual candidates are preferred but not required
- Experience working with mild, moderate, and severe disabilities
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy services to students under the supervision of a licensed SLP (Speech-Language Pathologist)
- Implement IEP goals and track student progress
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other staff to support student success
- Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions and student performance
