School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Le Sueur, MN
Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced School Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) for a full-time role with school districts in Le Sueur, MN. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive educational environment and make a positive impact on students' communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on students' needs and goals.
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions to students with speech and language disorders.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to ensure students success.
- Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Participate in Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development of goals and strategies.
- Assist in the development of strategies to support students in the classroom and throughout the school day.
- Document and maintain accurate records of therapy sessions, progress reports, and assessments.
- Provide guidance and training to teachers and staff on speech and language strategies to use in the classroom.
Required Qualifications:
- Minnesota state license as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Previous experience working in a school setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of IEP development and individualized therapy planning.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with students, teachers, and staff.
- Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Must meet all Minnesota state requirements for SLPs in a school setting.
