School Psychologist Santa Clara, CA (Full-Time) ($55-60 hr)
Blazerworks has partnered with a school district in Santa Clara, CA, to hire a dedicated School Psychologist for the 2024-2025 school year. This is a full-time position focused on supporting the emotional, social, and academic success of students. Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and evaluations for students to identify learning, behavioral, and emotional needs
- Provide individual and group counseling services to students to address emotional, social, and behavioral challenges
- Develop and implement behavior intervention plans and provide crisis intervention when needed
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, parents, and other support staff to design and implement IEPs and ensure appropriate services for students
- Offer professional development and support to school staff on mental health, behavior management, and learning strategies
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams to assess student needs and provide recommendations for academic and emotional success
- Maintain accurate and timely records and reports in compliance with district and legal requirements
- Act as an advocate for students mental health needs and well-being within the school community
Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology
- Active California School Psychologist credential
- Experience in a school-based setting is highly preferred, though not required
- Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools, behavior intervention strategies, and mental health best practices
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team and communicate well with parents and staff
