We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team in Clovis, NM. This full-time position will focus on providing direct services to K-12 students in a dynamic school district. The ideal candidate will have a passion for supporting students' sensory, motor, and functional development through individualized therapy interventions. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct occupational therapy assessments to evaluate students' fine motor, sensory processing, and functional skills.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on assessment results and student needs.
- Provide direct therapy services to students in one-on-one or group settings, focusing on motor skills, sensory integration, and functional independence.
- Collaborate with IEP teams, teachers, and parents to develop and implement goals and strategies that support students' success.
- Monitor and document student progress, making adjustments to therapy plans as needed to meet individualized goals.
- Consult with staff to provide guidance on classroom modifications, accommodations, and strategies that support student participation in academic and social activities.
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing input and progress updates regarding therapy goals.
- Provide training and support to teachers and staff on sensory processing, motor development, and therapeutic strategies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of therapy sessions, assessments, and student progress.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist in New Mexico (or eligible).
- Experience working with school-age children (K-12) is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of sensory processing, fine motor skills, and functional independence strategies.
- Ability to develop and implement individualized therapy plans (IEPs).
- Compassionate and student-centered approach to therapy.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
