Minimum 1+ years occupational therapy experience required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to determine students' occupational therapy needs.
- Develop and implement intervention plans aligned with IEP goals.
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to support students' academic success.
- Provide therapy to address motor, sensory, and self-help challenges.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines.
- Participate in team meetings to evaluate student development.
Requirements:
- A Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- A current Virginia Occupational Therapist license issued by the Virginia Board of Medicine.
- Certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
- Prior experience in a school setting is preferred.
