Blazer Jobs is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologistin Reserve, LA. The SLP will work with students requiring speech, language, and hearing support, ensuring compliance with state and federal education policies. The district is open to hiring SLPAs or Clinical Fellows for this role.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations, screenings, placements, and re-evaluations for students with disabilities in accordance with state and district guidelines.
- Develop daily schedules for therapy, diagnostics, and planning time.
- Maintain attendance and systematically evaluate student progress.
- Collect data and determine Extended School Year Program (ESYP) eligibility as indicated on IEPs.
- Maintain compliance with state and federal laws regarding student services and assessments.
- Guide teachers in identifying and referring students with speech, language, or hearing impairments.
- Collaborate with teachers to integrate therapy recommendations into daily classroom activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Speech Pathology.
- Active Louisiana Teaching Certificate (Type A, B, or C) or Ancillary Certificate.
- Active Louisiana SLP License.
- Open to SLPAs or SLP Clinical Fellows.
- Strong organizational and collaborative skills.
