BlazerJobs is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a supportive school district in Agawam, MA. This part-time position offers the opportunity to work closely with two high school students with special needs, providing specialized speech and language therapy to help them achieve their communication goals. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with students with unique needs and a commitment to fostering their growth and independence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized speech and language therapy services to two special needs high school students.
- Assess students speech, language, and communication abilities to develop tailored therapy plans.
- Focus on improving communication skills such as articulation, fluency, comprehension, expressive language, and social communication.
- Collaborate with special education staff, teachers, and parents to implement strategies and support students' academic and social development.
- Monitor students' progress and adjust therapy plans as needed to ensure effectiveness.
- Maintain clear and accurate documentation of therapy sessions, progress, and any changes to therapy goals.
- Support students during classroom activities, providing in-the-moment therapy to enhance communication skills in practical settings.
- Participate in IEP meetings to provide updates on progress and contribute to the development of individualized education plans.

Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
- Experience working with special needs students, preferably in a school setting.
