Blazer Jobs is seeking a passionate and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join school districts in the Halifax, NC area. This full-time role provides a rewarding opportunity to support students' communication and academic success through tailored therapy services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
- Create and implement individualized therapy plans, including Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
- Deliver therapy sessions in one-on-one and group settings to improve communication skills.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to address students' needs effectively.
- Track and document students' progress, adapting interventions as necessary.
- Provide training and resources to staff and families to support speech and language development.
- Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations for school-based services.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- North Carolina state SLP license (required).
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) (preferred).
- North Carolina Department of Public Instruction certification for school-based practice (required).
- Previous experience in school-based or pediatric settings is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
