Requirements:
To apply for this position, applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Active Texas State Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) License
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Experience working as an SLP in a school or educational setting is preferred
- Ability to pass background checks as required by state and local regulations
- Valid Texas Drivers License (if required for travel between campuses)
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy services to students with communication and language disorders
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders, including articulation, fluency, language processing, and social communication
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students based on assessments and goals
- Provide individual and small group therapy in various school settings
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to develop strategies for supporting students communication needs
- Monitor student progress, making adjustments to therapy plans as necessary
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide updates on student progress
- Offer professional development and support to staff on speech and language strategies
- Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions, progress, and evaluations
