BlazerJobs is seeking a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for a full-time position in Firebaugh, CA, serving elementary school students from Transitional Kindergarten (TK) to 6th grade. In this role, you will assist the Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with providing speech and language therapy services to students in a school setting. The caseload will involve working with students who may have a range of speech and language challenges, including articulation, language delays, and fluency disorders.
You will collaborate with the on-site SLP to implement therapy plans, track student progress, and support students in the classroom and during therapy sessions.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the SLP in implementing therapy plans for students with speech and language disorders.
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions under the supervision of an SLP.
- Document and track student progress.
- Assist with speech and language screenings and evaluations.
- Work closely with teachers, parents, and the SLP to support student needs in the classroom.
Requirements:
- SLPA license (California) required.
- Previous experience working with school-aged children, preferably in an elementary school setting.
- Knowledge of speech and language disorders and therapy techniques.
- Ability to work collaboratively with the SLP, teachers, and parents.
- Start ASAP or for the next school year.
