Location: Gogebic-Ontonagon Intermediate School District (ISD), Ewen, MI

Hours: Full-Time, 37.5 hours per week

Caseload: K-12 students; may include travel between school sites

Job Description:

The Gogebic-Ontonagon ISD is seeking a dedicated and qualified Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team. The PTA will work full-time, providing physical therapy services to students from kindergarten through 12th grade. This role involves a diverse caseload and may require traveling between multiple school sites within the district.

Key Responsibilities:

Implement physical therapy treatment plans designed by a licensed Physical Therapist.
Assess and track students' progress and adjust interventions as needed.
Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and parents to support students physical therapy goals.
Provide direct therapy services, including therapeutic exercises, functional training, and assistive device recommendations.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services provided and student progress.
Assist in developing and adapting physical therapy programs to meet the needs of students with various disabilities.
Participate in meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.

Qualifications:

Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy Assisting or a related field.
Valid state licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
Previous experience working with children, particularly in a school setting, is preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to travel between multiple school sites as required.
Knowledge of current best practices and techniques in physical therapy for pediatric populations.
