Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Speech Language Pathologists (SLP) for a full-time position with school districts in the Attleboro, MA area. Position Overview
As a Speech Language Pathologist in a school district, you will provide direct services to students with speech and language disorders. You will work closely with students, teachers, and families to develop and implement individualized therapy plans and contribute to a supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech and language disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with communication needs.
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to students in one-on-one and group settings.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students academic and social success.
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy plans as needed to ensure the best outcomes.
- Conduct speech and language evaluations to identify students' needs.
- Provide consultation and training to school staff on strategies to support students with speech and language difficulties.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and document therapy sessions.
- Participate in IEP meetings and work closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic student support.
Qualifications and Requirements
Applicants must meet the following local and state requirements:
- Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Active Speech Language Pathologist license in the state of Massachusetts.
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Experience in pediatric or school-based settings preferred but not required.
- Ability to collaborate with school staff, parents, and other professionals.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to pass a background check and meet district-specific requirements.
