School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) Job Description
Position: Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA)
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: End of School Year (EOSY)
Hours: Full-Time, 3035 hours per week
Location: Multiple school locations (itinerant) within Texas
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) in providing therapy services to K12 students across assigned locations.
- Support in implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) as directed by the SLP.
- Conduct screenings and document progress under the supervision of a licensed SLP.
- Travel between schools as needed; travel will be compensated.
Caseload:
- Caseload model utilized; typical SLPA duties in alignment with district standards.
Qualifications:
- Relevant certification or licensure in Texas as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant.
- Experience working in a school setting is a plus.
