We are currently seeking a dedicated School Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for a rewarding position in Waxahachie, TX.
We are looking for a School Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team for a full-time role. This position is based in Waxahachie, TX, and will run from August 14, 2024, to May 23, 2025. The role involves working 37.5 hours per week, managing a caseload of around 65 students with the guidance of a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). This position is onsite only, and we have one position available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
- Assist in creating and implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's needs.
- Conduct therapy sessions to support students in developing their communication skills.
- Work closely with the supervising SLP and school staff to track and adjust therapy plans based on student progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions and student progress.
- Provide updates and support to students and parents.
Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid Texas SLPA license.
- Previous experience in a school setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Committed to helping students achieve their communication goals.
