BlazerJobs is currently seeking a Part-Time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a school district near Sparta, NJ. This position offers a wonderful opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate SLP to work with elementary-aged students in grades K-6. The position is part-time, requiring just 4 hours per week.
Position Overview: As a School Speech-Language Pathologist, you will provide speech and language services to students in grades K-6, helping them overcome communication challenges and achieve academic success. This position involves working with students to address speech, language, and communication disorders through individualized therapy and collaboration with teachers and parents.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments for students in grades K-6.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and therapy goals.
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to students in small groups or individually.
- Collaborate with teachers and school staff to integrate speech therapy goals into the classroom.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy plans as necessary.
- Attend IEP meetings and provide input on student progress and goals.
- Communicate regularly with parents and staff regarding student development.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Valid New Jersey State Speech-Language Pathologist license (or ability to obtain).
- ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Experience working with K-6th grade students in a school setting is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
