Blazer Jobs is actively seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist for a full-time position with school districts in the Feeding Hills, MA area. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with students to improve their functional abilities and support their academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, develop, and implement individualized therapy programs to support students with physical, sensory, or motor challenges.
- Work with students to improve fine motor skills, sensory processing, and overall physical functioning.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to create and implement accommodations and modifications.
- Document and track student progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed.
- Provide recommendations for assistive technology and adaptive equipment to enhance students' learning and participation.
- Participate in Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings to offer professional input on goals and services.
- Support students in school activities and tasks, fostering independence and self-confidence.
Qualifications:
Applicants must meet the following local and state requirements to be considered for this position:
- Valid Massachusetts Occupational Therapist license.
- Master's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Successful completion of the NBCOT exam (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy).
- Strong experience working with children in a school or educational setting.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
