Minimum 1+ years physical therapy experience required.
We are searching for Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our Special Education team at a school in the Desoto, Texas area.As a School-Based Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work on-site with PreK - 12th grade students with a variety of needs.
Position Details:
- Current School Year
- Full Time: up to 40 hours per week
- Caseload: PreK - 12th grade, travel between multiple school sites, specific caseload details will be discussed during the interview process
- Pay Range: $25 - $40 per hour, depending on previous experience and level
Requirements:
- Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy
- Must hold an active Physical Therapist Assistant TexasLicense
- Previous pediatric or school-based experience preferred, but not required
Responsibilities:
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, contributing expert advice and therapy goals to support educational objectives.
- Complete initial and reevaluation services for Special Education students.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on each students specific needs, focusing on improving their mobility, strength, and coordination.
