Physical Therapist Assistant Full-Time Role in Desoto, TX
Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Physical Therapist Assistants (PTA) for a full-time position with school districts in the Desoto, TX area. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled PTA to work with students and make a positive impact on their physical therapy needs in an educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist physical therapists in implementing individualized physical therapy plans for students with various physical disabilities.
- Help students improve their mobility, strength, coordination, and overall physical function under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist.
- Maintain accurate documentation of therapy services and student progress.
- Assist in providing therapeutic exercises and activities to promote motor skills development.
- Collaborate with school staff and families to ensure the best possible care and therapeutic outcomes for students.
- Educate students on how to perform physical exercises and movements safely and effectively.
- Monitor and modify treatment plans as needed, in coordination with physical therapists and IEP teams.
- Ensure a safe and supportive environment for students during therapy sessions.
Qualifications:
Applicants must meet the following local and state requirements:
- Valid Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of Texas.
- Associates degree in Physical Therapy or a related field from an accredited program.
- Previous experience in a pediatric, school, or clinical setting is preferred.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Compassionate and patient-focused, with a desire to make a difference in the lives of students.
