Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) for a full-time role with school districts in Concord, NC. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with students in an educational setting, providing speech and language services to support their communication skills.
Position Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:

Education:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.

Licensure:
- Current North Carolina state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
- Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is preferred.
- Completion of required background checks, including fingerprint clearance, as per North Carolina state law.

Experience:
- Previous experience in a school setting, with a focus on providing speech therapy services to students.
- Experience in diagnosing and treating speech, language, and communication disorders in children.

Skills:
- Strong knowledge of speech and language development, and interventions for communication disorders.
- Ability to assess, diagnose, and create Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with speech/language needs.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents.
Responsibilities
The SLP will:
- Evaluate and diagnose speech and language disorders in students, including articulation, fluency, language, and voice disorders.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with speech and language needs.
- Provide direct speech therapy services to students individually or in small groups.
- Track and document student progress through regular assessments and updates to IEPs.
- Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to provide appropriate accommodations and modifications.
- Communicate with parents to provide updates on student progress and strategies for speech and language development.
- Provide consultation and training to staff on speech and language strategies.
