Blazerworks is actively seeking a dedicated and licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a fully remote, full-time position with a school district in Manassas, VA for the 2024-2025 school year. Position Overview:
As a remote SLP, you will play a crucial role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech and language disorders in students of various ages. You will collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that cater to each student's specific needs.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct virtual assessments and therapy sessions using teletherapy platforms
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Provide direct therapy services to students with speech and language disorders
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and parents to ensure student success
- Maintain detailed records of student progress and compliance with state and federal regulations
- Participate in virtual IEP meetings and consultations with the school team
- Stay up to date on best practices, research, and advancements in speech-language pathology
Qualifications:
- Must hold an active Virginia SLP license
- ASHA CCCs (Certificate of Clinical Competence) required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a school-based setting preferred
- Experience with teletherapy platforms and technology is a plus
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently in a virtual environment
