Speech Language Pathologist Full-Time Role in Manassas, VA
Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Speech Language Pathologists (SLP) for a full-time role with school districts in the Manassas, VA area. This is an exciting opportunity to work with students and provide critical speech and language services in an educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in students of all ages.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on each students specific needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive support for students.
- Provide speech therapy to students in both individual and group settings.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Support students in developing essential communication skills, including speech, language, and social communication.
- Assist in creating and maintaining IEPs (Individualized Education Plans) for students with speech and language impairments.
- Provide counseling and strategies to parents and staff on how to support speech and language development.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and needs.
Qualifications:
Applicants must meet the following local and state requirements:
- Valid Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license in the state of Virginia.
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
- Previous experience working in a school setting is preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
- Compassionate and student-focused approach to therapy.
