Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Occupational Therapist to join the team in Accomack, VA. This full-time role involves supervising 2 COTAs, conducting evaluations, writing reports and plans of care, and managing a small caseload of 20-25 students. The OT will serve in 11 schools across the district, providing services at select locations while being available for evaluations at any school as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise 2 COTAs already on staff, providing guidance and support.
- Conduct evaluations, write evaluation reports, and create individual plans of care.
- Provide direct services to a small caseload of students.
- Ensure Medicaid billing is completed accurately and timely.
- Use VAIEP software for documentation and case management.
- Collaborate with school teams to ensure effective service delivery.
Qualifications:
- Active VA Occupational Therapy licensure and credentials.
- Must be willing to supervise 2 COTAs.
- Experience with evaluations, report writing, and developing care plans.
- Familiarity with Medicaid billing procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
