Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing for an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to fill a full-time, school-based position in Beebe, AR. This is an excellent opportunity for SLPs who are passionate about helping students with speech and language disorders, particularly those with special education needs.
Position Overview
As an SLP in this district, you will work closely with students to assess, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders. You will collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to ensure that students receive the support they need to succeed academically and socially.
Job Requirements
- Must meet all qualifications and requirements set by local and state regulations to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Arkansas.
- Experience working with special education students and their families is highly preferred.
- Knowledge and experience with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), therapy techniques, and behavior management strategies.
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with students, teachers, and families.
Typical Job Duties
- Assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, and communication disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on students IEP goals.
- Provide direct therapy services to students, either individually or in small groups.
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support students' academic and communication needs.
- Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions, student progress, and treatment plans.
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing input on student progress and therapy goals.
- Offer strategies to classroom teachers to support speech and language development in the classroom.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations regarding speech-language therapy services.
