Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing for an experienced Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join a school-based team in Beebe, AR. This is a full-time, contracted role, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students communication skills in an educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) in delivering speech and language therapy services to students.
- Implement therapy plans under the supervision of an SLP, conducting both individual and group sessions as needed.
- Monitor student progress and document therapy outcomes, making adjustments to therapy plans in consultation with the SLP.
- Work closely with teachers, parents, and other school staff to ensure that therapy goals are tailored to meet individual student needs.
- Assist in conducting speech and language screenings and assessments under the guidance of an SLP.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of therapy sessions and student progress.
- Provide support to students with special education needs, ensuring therapy is aligned with their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
- Collaborate with other professionals to ensure that students communication needs are effectively addressed both in and out of the classroom.
Requirements:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) certification.
- Experience working with special education students and families is highly preferred.
- Must meet all local and state certification requirements.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and maintain a positive working relationship with staff, students, and families.
