Blazer Jobs is actively seeking a skilled and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) for a full-time position with a school district in the Beebe, AR area. Job Requirements
- Hold a valid state Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) license.
- Bachelor's degree in a speech-language pathology or communication disorders.
- Demonstrate knowledge of speech-language therapy techniques, strategies, and procedures.
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting is preferred but not required.
- Meet all district, state, and federal requirements for working in an educational environment (background checks, certifications, etc.).
Key Responsibilities
The SLPA will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) and be responsible for tasks including but not limited to:
- Assisting the SLP with implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) for students.
- Conducting speech-language therapy sessions in one-on-one and group settings.
- Collecting and documenting data on student progress toward IEP goals.
- Supporting classroom teachers by providing strategies to enhance student communication.
- Maintaining therapy equipment and materials.
