Qualifications:
Applicants must meet the following local and state requirements to apply:
- Education: Masters Degree in Speech Language Pathology.
- Licensing: Valid Wisconsin state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Certifications: ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association) certification preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred.
- Background Check: Must pass a local and state background check.
- Skills: Strong communication and organizational skills, ability to assess and develop individualized treatment plans for students with speech and language disorders.
Responsibilities:
As a Speech Language Pathologist in this role, your duties will include:
- Conducting assessments to evaluate speech and language skills of students.
- Developing and implementing individualized therapy plans to address students' speech and language goals.
- Providing speech therapy services in individual and group settings.
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students needs.
- Documenting progress and adjusting therapy plans as necessary.
- Assisting in the development of IEPs (Individualized Education Plans) and attending IEP meetings.
- Promoting speech and language development across the curriculum and throughout the school environment.
- Maintaining a positive and supportive learning environment for students.
