Responsibilities
As a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA), your key responsibilities will include:
- Implementing treatment plans designed by a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
- Providing direct therapy services to students in individual or group settings.
- Assisting in screening and assessments as directed by the supervising SLP.
- Documenting student progress and preparing reports for the supervising SLP.
- Supporting classroom staff with strategies to enhance student communication.
- Ensuring compliance with school policies and state regulations.
Requirements
Applicants must meet the following local and state requirements:
- Valid certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant.
- Massachusetts licensure to practice as an SLPA.
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting (preferred).
- Ability to work under the supervision of a licensed SLP.
- Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
