Job Duties:
As a School Psychologist, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive psychological evaluations and assessments to identify students academic, emotional, behavioral, and social needs
- Developing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special education needs
- Collaborating with teachers, administrators, and families to create effective strategies to support student growth
- Providing counseling services to students and addressing their emotional and behavioral needs
- Assisting in crisis intervention and providing behavior management strategies as needed
- Offering consultation to school staff on mental health, accommodations, and strategies for students with behavioral challenges
- Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and develop intervention plans
- Ensuring compliance with state and local regulations regarding special education services
- Documenting and monitoring student progress to ensure the effectiveness of interventions and IEPs
Qualifications:
- Required: Must meet all local and state requirements for a School Psychologist
- Experience working with special education students and their families is highly preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
