Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - Full-Time, Onsite Anchorage, AK
Blazer Jobs is partnering with the school district in Anchorage, AK, to recruit a full-time, onsite Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for the current school year. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on students' communication and development.
Position Details:
- Caseload: Average of 47 students, with potential elementary, middle, and/or high school campuses
- Sites: Average 2 school sites per SLP
- Supervision: May be asked to supervise an SLPA
- CF Supervision: Provided
- Work Model: 3:1 model implemented district-wide
- Support: Mentor provided for all new-to-district SLPs (with option to continue mentorship in year 2 upon request)
- Team: All SLPs have a peer team for collaboration
- Professional Development: Free CEUs provided by the department throughout the school year
Daily Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations, assessments, and therapy for students with communication disorders
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other specialists to ensure student progress
- Supervise support staff as needed
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and services provided
Special Requirements:
- SLP State License and Educator Credential are required.
- Candidates who do not meet requirements will not be considered.
