BlazerJobs is seeking a passionate and experienced Virtual Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide teletherapy services to a K-12 caseload in a school district near Tinley Park, IL. This is a full-time, remote position offering flexibility and the opportunity to make a significant impact on students' speech and language development from the comfort of your own home.
As a Virtual SLP, you will provide evaluations, assessments, and direct therapy to students with various speech and language needs, including articulation, language development, social communication, and more. You will collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and deliver high-quality services in a virtual setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide teletherapy to students with a range of speech and language disorders from kindergarten to 12th grade.
- Conduct evaluations, assessments, and provide individualized therapy and progress monitoring.
- Develop and implement IEPs and collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families for effective delivery.
- Maintain consistent communication with students, parents, and school staff regarding progress, goals, and strategies.
- Track and document progress, outcomes, and goals via teletherapy platforms.
- Provide direct and indirect therapy services, as needed, for the entire school year.
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with the school team to ensure students' needs are being met.
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
- Illinois State License in Speech-Language Pathology.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of school-based experience (preferably K-12).
- Experience with teletherapy or a strong willingness to adapt to virtual service delivery.
- Active Illinois Teaching Certificate and clearances (or willingness to obtain).
- Familiarity with virtual therapy tools and platforms.
