BlazerJobs is currently seeking a dedicated School Psychologist (LSSP) for multiple openings in Houston, TX for the current school year. This is a full-time position (37.5 hours per week), with flexibility to accommodate part-time availability depending on the candidates schedule. Job Description:
As a School Psychologist, you will primarily be responsible for conducting testing and evaluations for students in elementary and middle school grades. You will also participate in ARD meetings as needed, working closely with educators, parents, and school teams to ensure each students academic and emotional needs are met. This role will involve working onsite 3 days per week, collaborating with district staff and school teams.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological testing and evaluations for elementary and middle school students.
- Provide expert recommendations and support for individualized education plans (IEPs) and other special education services.
- Participate in ARD meetings (Admission, Review, and Dismissal meetings) to provide input on student progress and recommendations.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to support students academic and emotional well-being.
- Provide consultation and support for students requiring additional mental health and emotional support.
Qualifications:
- Active Texas School Psychologist License (LSSP) or equivalent certification.
- Experience working with elementary and middle school students.
- Strong skills in psychological assessments, evaluations, and ARD participation.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams, including educators, parents, and administrators.
- Availability to work 3 days onsite per week; flexibility for part-time applicants is a plus.
