This role is crucial in assisting students with disabilities to develop, improve, and maintain skills needed for daily functioning and learning. The ideal candidate will have experience in a school setting and a strong commitment to helping students reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy services to students in a school setting
- Evaluate and assess students' physical, sensory, and motor skills
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students IEP goals
- Provide training to staff and families on therapeutic strategies
- Maintain detailed records of therapy sessions
Required Education & Certifications:
- Masters degree in Occupational Therapy
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in Georgia
- Must have at least one year of experience in a school-based setting
