As a Physical Therapist in a school setting, you will work directly with students to improve their physical capabilities and enhance their mobility, enabling them to thrive in their academic environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a school or pediatric setting and a passion for making a difference in students' lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide physical therapy to students with various disabilities
- Develop individualized therapy plans to address students' physical needs
- Monitor and document student progress
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to achieve IEP goals
- Educate staff on strategies to support students physical development
- Participate in team meetings for IEP development
Required Education & Certifications:
- Doctorate or Masters degree in Physical Therapy
- Valid Physical Therapy license in Georgia
- Must have at least one year of experience in a school-based setting
