Job Description:
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced School Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team in San Francisco, CA. This position will involve working with K-12 students, helping them develop the functional skills they need to succeed in their academic environment. You will play a vital role in fostering students physical, sensory, and cognitive development through targeted therapy and interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate students needs to develop customized treatment plans.
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in both individual and group settings.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and school staff to integrate therapy goals into students daily routines.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as needed.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, contributing to student goal-setting and modifications.
- Modify and adapt the school environment to support students' success.
- Train and educate school staff on strategies to support student learning and development.
Requirements:
- Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Valid California Occupational Therapist License.
- Experience working with K-12 students in a school setting is preferred.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Understanding of occupational therapy in an educational context.
