School Psychologist Full-Time Position in Palatka, FL Area

Position Overview: As a School Psychologist, you will provide essential support to students, helping them overcome challenges that affect their academic, social, and emotional well-being. This role involves collaboration with educators, parents, and other school staff to create a positive and productive learning environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to identify students' needs and determine eligibility for special education services.
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs) based on student assessments.
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention to support students' social-emotional development and mental health.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to address students' academic, behavioral, and emotional needs.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to provide recommendations for student support services.
- Maintain detailed and confidential records of assessments, progress, and communications.
- Stay current with state and federal laws, guidelines, and best practices in school psychology.
Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid Florida state certification as a School Psychologist.
- Master's or Specialist degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.
- Experience working in a school setting, with knowledge of special education laws and procedures.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
Requirements:
- Certification from the Florida Department of Education (DOE) as a School Psychologist.
- Completion of required background checks, fingerprinting, and pre-employment screenings as mandated by the school district and state regulations.
- Adherence to ethical guidelines and professional standards set by the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) and state regulations.
