Full-Time School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Location: Atchison, KS Area
Employment Type: Contract
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) to address the needs of students.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress.
- Conduct screenings and evaluations to determine eligibility for services.
- Provide direct therapy sessions to students individually or in groups.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of student progress and assessments.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student goals.
- Educate students, staff, and families about communication disorders and strategies for improvement.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Valid Kansas state SLP license or eligibility for licensure.
- Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) - CCC-SLP preferred.
- Prior experience working in a school setting is strongly preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Must pass all background checks and fulfill any local school district requirements.
