Full-Time School Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
Location: Atchison, KS Area
Employment Type: Contract
Responsibilities:
- Assist Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) in the delivery of speech therapy services to students.
- Implement treatment plans designed by the supervising SLP to address individual student needs.
- Provide direct therapy sessions to students under the guidance and supervision of the SLP.
- Collect data and document student progress as directed by the SLP.
- Assist in preparing materials and organizing therapy sessions.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student success.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with school district policies.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss student progress and therapy goals.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or a related field.
- Valid Kansas state SLPA license or eligibility for licensure.
- Must be supervised by a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
- Prior experience working with children in an educational or clinical setting is strongly preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Must pass all background checks and fulfill any local school district requirements.
