Blazer Jobs is actively seeking an experienced School Psychologist for a full-time position with school districts in the Manassas, VA area. If you are dedicated to fostering student success and promoting mental health within the educational environment, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to identify students' cognitive, emotional, and behavioral needs.
- Provide individual and group counseling to students, addressing academic and emotional challenges.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
- Offer crisis intervention and support for students facing personal, social, or emotional difficulties.
- Participate in the development and implementation of school-wide mental health programs and initiatives.
- Provide training and support to staff regarding mental health issues, crisis response, and intervention strategies.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree or higher in School Psychology or a related field.
- Valid Virginia School Psychologist license or eligibility for licensure.
- Previous experience working in a school setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of assessment tools and techniques, as well as behavioral intervention strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse populations.
