Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following local and state requirements:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current State License as a Speech Language Pathologist
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
- Fingerprint clearance/background check
- Experience working in a school setting is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities:
As a Speech Language Pathologist, your typical responsibilities will include:
- Conducting assessments and evaluations of students' speech and language skills
- Developing individualized treatment plans to address specific needs
- Implementing therapy sessions and monitoring progress
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student learning
- Providing guidance and training to staff on speech and language development
- Documenting student progress and maintaining accurate records
- Participating in IEP meetings and contributing to the development of goals
