Blazer Jobs is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team, working within school districts in the area. This full-time position offers a fantastic opportunity to support students' communication development under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the SLP in providing speech and language therapy to students in individual or group settings.
- Implement treatment plans as designed by the SLP to help students improve their communication skills.
- Conduct screenings and follow-up activities as directed by the SLP.
- Document student progress and report findings to the supervising SLP.
- Prepare therapy materials and maintain the organization of the therapy space.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding students' progress and needs.
- Support the SLP during assessments and evaluations by gathering data and providing input.
- Participate in meetings and collaborate with the educational team to ensure students' success.
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant or related field.
- Valid SLPA license or certification as required by the state.
- Experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively with a team.
