Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate students' physical abilities and motor skills through comprehensive testing.

- Provide direct therapy services to students with physical disabilities, ensuring alignment with their IEP (Individualized Education Program) goals.
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and parents to create supportive environments for students, recommending accommodations and modifications as needed.
- Educate school staff and families on physical therapy techniques and strategies that can be implemented in the classroom and at home.
- Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting therapy plans as necessary to ensure the best possible outcomes.
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide input regarding students' physical therapy needs and progress.
- Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions, assessments, and progress reports in compliance with school policies and state regulations.
- Ensure all services are provided in accordance with ethical standards and legal requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
- Experience in a school-based or pediatric setting is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of child development, specifically motor development and physical disabilities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload and provide services to students of varying ages and abilities.
