Full-Time School Psychologist - Orange, NJ Area
Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced School Psychologists for a full-time position within school districts in the Orange, NJ area. This is an excellent opportunity for dedicated professionals to make a meaningful impact on students' mental health and academic achievement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and evaluations to determine students' cognitive and emotional needs.
- Develop and implement evidence-based intervention plans to support students' academic and social-emotional growth.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to design and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Provide individual and group counseling services to students facing emotional, behavioral, or social challenges.
- Participate in crisis intervention and support services for students in need of immediate assistance.
- Educate staff and families on mental health issues and effective strategies to support student success.
- Maintain detailed records of assessments, interventions, and progress, ensuring compliance with confidentiality regulations.
Requirements:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a closely related field.
- Active New Jersey School Psychologist certification or eligibility for certification.
- Previous experience in a school setting is preferred, with knowledge of special education laws and regulations.
- Strong communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
