Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) for full-time roles within school districts in the Bloomfield, CT area. We are looking for committed professionals dedicated to enhancing students' communication abilities and academic success in a supportive school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students to determine speech, language, and communication needs and develop tailored intervention plans
- Implement individualized therapy sessions based on students' goals and track progress
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to create a supportive, inclusive educational environment
- Document and maintain detailed records on assessments, progress, and adaptations to therapy approaches
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing insight on student progress and setting appropriate goals
- Conduct screenings and assessments in compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines
Qualifications:
- Certification: Valid Connecticut SLP license
- Education: Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Experience: Previous school-based or pediatric experience is highly preferred
- Compliance: Must meet all local and state requirements, including:
- Successful background check clearance
- Completion of any state-mandated professional training
- Up-to-date CPR and First Aid certifications
- Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and record-keeping skills; adaptability to meet diverse student needs
