Minimum 1+ years speech therapy experience required.
We are searching for a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our partner school in the Reserve, Louisiana area. You would be working onsite with students in grades K - 12th, in a caseload of your preference. We are looking for a dedicated applicant to join our Special Educationteam!
Position Details:
- Current School Year
- Full-Time: up to 40hours per week
- Caseload: K - 12th grade, additional details will be discussed during the interview process
- Pay Rate: $30 - $50 per hour, depending on previous experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose students with a variety of speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders.
- Design and implement comprehensive treatment plans that address individual student needs and align with educational goals.
- Provide direct therapy in individual and group settings, and monitor student progress.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and other school staff to integrate speech therapy with educational objectives.
- Consult and communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and strategies for reinforcement at home.
- Participate in Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings, contributing expert knowledge and recommendations for speech therapy services.
- Maintain detailed documentation of student evaluations, treatment plans, progress reports, and other required records.
- Engage in professional development activities to stay informed of the latest trends and best practices in speech-language pathology.
Requirements:
- Must have an active SLP-CCC Louisiana License
- Must have Masters Degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Experience working in a school setting is preferred.
- Strong understanding of speech-related disorders and effective intervention strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
