Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced School Psychologists (LSSP) for a full-time role within school districts in the Sugar Land, TX area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations for students referred for special education services.
- Develop and implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) for students with emotional or behavioral challenges.
- Provide individual and group counseling services to students to address a range of mental health needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and other support staff to develop and implement strategies that promote student success.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to determine students' eligibility for special education services and develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Support crisis intervention and provide recommendations for behavior management techniques.
- Conduct professional development and training for staff on issues related to mental health, behavior, and academic success.
Requirements:
- Valid Texas license as a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) or a Trainee Status Letter issued by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists.
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Experience conducting psychological assessments and working with students in an educational setting.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check in accordance with Texas state and district regulations.
