Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support speech therapy services in a high school setting as well as a specialized classroom. The ideal candidate will work directly with students of various ages who have a range of disabilities and language delays. This position requires a strong understanding of speech therapy techniques and the ability to adapt to each student's individual needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in providing therapy to students with diverse disabilities and language delays.
- Work in both a high school environment and a specialized classroom setting.
- Implement therapy plans under the direction of a licensed SLP.
- Assist in documenting student progress and maintaining records.
- Provide one-on-one and small group therapy support.
Requirements:
- TX SLPA Licensure (non-negotiable).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience working with students with a variety of disabilities and language delays is preferred.
