Blazerworks has partnered with a reputable school district in Wilmington, DE, to fill a Full-Time School Physical Therapist (PT) position for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year. This is a fantastic opportunity for a compassionate and skilled Physical Therapist to work in an educational setting, providing therapy services that empower students to reach their full potential.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide physical therapy assessments and interventions for students with diverse needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve mobility, coordination, and physical functioning.
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to support students' progress in both academic and physical goals.
- Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions, progress reports, and evaluations.
- Participate in IEP meetings and work with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the best outcomes for students.
- Provide training and guidance to school staff on mobility and safety for students.
Qualifications:
- Valid Delaware Physical Therapist (PT) license.
- Previous experience working with children or in a school setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a caseload efficiently.
